Assistant Control Buyer

We’re growing fast, and to support this growth, we are looking for an Assistant Control Buyer to be an integral member of our Inventory & Sourcing Team.  Our Assistant Control Buyer will be responsible for assisting with all aspects of inventory management, including placing and tracking POs, managing inventory levels, and working closely with our Product team to develop and source new products.

Responsibilities

  • Assist across teams with managing the PO process from end to end including placing initial orders and reorders with domestic and foreign vendors, tracking shipping and receiving status of shipments and reconciling invoices.
  • Develop and maintain tracking tool for purchase orders to track order and reorder dates, ship dates, ETA, partial ships, etc.
  • Manage inventory levels to ensure inventory integrity and 100% in-stock rates.
  • Establish and maintain strong lines of vendor communication regarding sales forecasts, production capacity, quality issues, shipping guidelines, etc.
  • Work with vendors to improve costing, minimum order quantities and lead times.
  • Work with freight forwarders to arrange transportation as necessary.
  • Communicate with vendors, transportation providers and fulfillment facilities to streamline the inbound process.
  • Work with overseas vendors to ensure compliance with company standards and requirements.
  • Monitor and escalate quality and vendor performance issues to cross-functional team.
  • Work closely with fulfillment facilities to ensure warehouse management and inventory systems reflect accurate SKU and inventory data.
  • Partner with Product and Sourcing on product and packaging updates for ongoing and new initiatives.
  • We are a start-up so candidate must be willing to wear multiple hats, be flexible and pitch in whenever and wherever needed to help get the job done.  We love people who are excited to get involved where needed!

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of inventory management, purchasing, planning and/or supply chain experience, preferably in e-commerce or retail

Associate Inventory Planner

Responsibilities

  • Build and manage inventory and forecasting models to improve forecast accuracy and inventory turnover across multiple product lines.
  • Monitor and report out forecast accuracy, track performance and evolve key planning tools.
  • Lead long-range forecasting in partnership with the leadership team.
  • Facilitate visibility of inventory-related information within the company, including communications with inventory team, sales & marketing, operations, and accounting.
  • Work jointly with sales & marketing to determine sales projections and appropriate inventory levels required to support revenue goals.
  • Work closely with purchasing team on placement of initial orders and reorders and ensure timely delivery and receipt.
  • Ongoing review of stock levels across BOM SKUs to identify and process reorders or purchase order revisions/cancellations as needed.
  • Identify potential inventory liabilities and take appropriate actions to bring quantity to a desired level.
  • Work closely with fulfillment facilities to reconcile inbound inventory shipments and ensure inventory systems reflect accurate SKU and inventory data.
  • Reconcile inventory levels and manage other data integrity in NetSuite

Requirements

  • Work effectively across teams explaining your visual design strategy and helping teams execute to established standards. Partner with Product Development Team on the creative design of products from conception to launch. Partner with Marketing to develop collateral, advertising and videos that drive user engagement, acquisition and retention. Partner with our UX and Web Teams to bring the design strategy to the web.
  • Manage, grow, inspire and mentor a team of in-house creative professionals including graphic designers, illustrators and videographers
  • Identify, engage and manage consultants as needed including external designers
